Gravity Enduro Races on All-Mountain bikes that will get your adrenaline pumping!

Registration for Round 2 is now open and will remain open until Thursday before the race 8pm unless we reach the 220 rider limit beforehand.

In 2014 you will race for the official NSW State Titles as the Rollercoaster gained the title of State Series!

All you need is your bike and speed weapon of choice. You ride at your own pace or we'll shuttle you to the top and unleash you onto fun, challenging and fast tracks that will suit downhillers and cross-country riders alike.

Our Gravity Enduro races are best of both worlds – a blend of gravity and endurance, as well as downhill and cross-country racing.

The race tracks will have a combination of downhill sections with wicked berms and flowy trails, but also sections to pedal, recover and for the cross-country endurance racers to shine.

Kempsey completing the venue map for 2014

The event organisers from Rocky Trail said that they had been scouting locations across NSW to complete their venues for the 2014 Rollercoaster series for some time and when the Kempsey Macleay Off Road Cyclists invited them to stage Round 2 on their home track about 45 minutes north of Port Macquarie on the North Coast, they gladly accepted.

“Our club trails at Kempsey are not downhill or XC tracks reworked to suit, but have been purpose-built for gravity enduro racing and ready to go for a state round”, said Kempsey club official Jason Shelley and that a lot of riders from the Newcastle, NSW North Coast and South East QLD regions had visited club events so far.

That the Rocky Trail crew have good noses for new venues they have proofed over the past five years by hosting inaugural events on new mountain bike trails across the state, including the Enduro Trail at The Australian Botanic Garden, Mt Annan, which is now home of their JetBlack 24 Hour race, the unique trails at James Estate Winery in the Upper Hunter Valley, where they will host their JetBlack 12 Hour event in July 2014 as well as the new Flow Trail at Thredbo, where the Rollercoaster Gravity Enduro State Championships were held earlier this year as the first race on the newly groomed trails.

“We are looking forward to putting another new venue on the map of Australian gravity enduro racing and we will offer a great variety of tracks – from North to South”, said Martin Wisata, race director at Rocky Trail. “We like to take our riders to new locations and will feature some favourites of course as well”, he added.
